Configuration > Reports > Email Report Notifications > Secure Email Reports
The Secure email report sends a link to an existing dynamic report (see Dynamic Reports for details). The dynamic report is run when the user logs in to CISPro Global after clicking the emailed link. Once the Secure report has been created, the report details can be configured.
2. | Complete the applicable report settings as described in the following table |
Report Name
•
•
The report name, which has already been specified and saved, can be changed on the setup screen.
Start Sending On Date
•
If this date is the current date or earlier, the report may be sent as soon as it is saved, depending on the frequency (see Send Frequency Options for an explanation of how the Frequency and Start Sending On Date settings work together).
Stop Sending On Date
•
Enter a date after which the report should not be sent, or leave this setting blank to keep sending the report until a stop date is entered.
Report Permission
•
Only users who have this permission can subscribe to this report. Select None Required to make the report available to all users.
Modifying this requires clearing all current subscriptions to the report.
Frequency
•
Specify how often the report is to be sent.
Changing the Frequency of a report clears the Last Run Was value on any report that has already been sent at least once.
Last Run Was
•
•
Date the report was last run. The Clear button will clear the send history, setting Last Run to Never.
Recipient Email Addresses
•
Enter one or more addresses, separating them with semicolons (e.g., johndoe@chemsw.com;janedoe@chemsw.com).
Email Subject
•
•
Though a default subject is provided, the user can modify it, making it free text, or using the report macro options.
URL for Login
•
•
This is the URL of the web server that the recipient must use to log in and see the report (the actual link will be a combination of the URL and a report ID).
Use Report
•
•
Select a Dynamic Report from the drop-down list. This is the actual report that will run when the recipient logs in.
No Data Message
•
•
When the report is run at a time when there is nothing to report, this text will display, in place of a link, in the body of the email message. If the box is left blank, no email will be sent when there's no data to report.
When the report is complete, the notification will be sent according to the date and frequency settings (for non-subscription only), and the selected report will be run when the recipient logs in.
In the following example, the notification will be sent once every Monday (see Day of Week Numbers in Email Report Tools) but only after a Start Sending On Date is entered and saved. When John Doe reads the email, he clicks the "URL for Login" link as directed and is prompted to log in to CISPro Global. As soon as he logs in successfully, the report displays in a separate window on his screen. Note that he must login to the system as a user who has permission to view that report.
