Structure Tab

The molecular structure of chemicals (including constituents and finished products), can be displayed as a 2- or 3-dimensional image on the structure tab. Structure searching and importing, image manipulation, and other actions are supported via the controls on this tab.

File...	Begins the structure file import process, in which the user can specify a MOL file (a type of structure file) to be added to the selected material record. If a new MOL file is added, it replaces the existing MOL file (if there is one).
Paste	Temporarily replaces the Jmol file with data from the Windows clipboard and opens the Save Structure page. If the pasted data is valid MOL data, the new structure is displayed. If the new MOL data is saved, it will permanently replace the existing MOL file.
Save	If the user pastes a MOL file from the clipboard, this button saves it to the database.
Clear	Removes the structure file's association with the material.
Zoom...	Displays a larger structure view in a new window.
Search Structures	Opens a structure search page from which the user can search for all materials whose structure matches the loaded Mol data.
Structure Right-Click Menu	Right-clicking on the structure display opens a menu of options that allow the user to enhance and/or alter the view of the structure in the display box. (See the Structures topic for details.)
