In addition to tracking changes, CISPro Global can also be configured to require the user to electronically sign the data. Configuration of the audit trail and signatures is done at the work unit level.
A Signature Event prompts a user for his password and (optional) comments, and behaves as follows:
| • | If the password is entered correctly, the change is allowed and recorded. |
| • | If the password is entered incorrectly, the user is prompted again, unless the number of failed attempts equals the maxloginattempts configuration variable, at which point the user is logged out. |
| • | The following characters are converted to their text equivalents to accommodate processing requirements: |
< is converted to less than
> is converted to greater than
@ is converted to at
& is converted to and
' is converted to quote
" is converted to quote
