Configuration > Business Units

Business Units are defined globally, and are used as part of a site structure in order to distinguish between different business operations. Business Units are one of the first configuration items which a new installation should address, because Users can not be created without being assigned to a Work Unit, which is a combination of a Business Unit and a Site.

Example

Sites: Fairfield, Davis

Business Units:  Foods, Cleaners

Work Units could be any of: (Fairfield+Foods), (Fairfield+Cleaners), (Davis+Foods), (Davis+Cleaners)
