A GHS Phrase consists of a category, a code, and phrase text. Category can be either Precaution or one of four Hazard types. The code is a short string of text that represents the actual full-text phrase. Code and Phrase both appear on the Material Hazard tab of each material to which a phrase is assigned.

There are more than 150 phrases included with CISPro Global. Phrases can be added, modified, or deleted as needed.

View the GHS Phrase list

1.Select Tools > System from the Global menu
2.Click the GHS Phrases link

Adding, Removing, Modifying Phrases

1.Select GHS Codes from the page menu
2.Create, Save, or Delete a code as follows:
Create: Select New GHS Code menu option, select a Category from the list, type a GHS Code and an English Phrase, and click Save
Save: With a GHS Phrase selected after being modified, select the Save this GHS Code menu option
Delete: With a GHS Phrase selected, select the Delete this GHS Code menu option, then click OK to confirm delete

Translations

Translation text can be entered for any GHS Phrase.

1.Select a Phrase
2.Enter translation text in one or more language rows
3.Save changes
