Workflows > Waste Manager Module > Waste Materials The Waste material type shares many attributes with other material types, such as class, synonyms, hazards, and properties. A significant difference, however, is that waste containers are not created via the receipt process, they can't be ordered as other material types can, and they can't be requisitioned. Instead, waste containers are created and defined by the user. The Waste Material Identity Tab Waste materials have the following tabs: Identity, Hazards, Documents, Properties, and Containers. These tabs generally have less information (i.e., fewer fields and links) than other materials, as waste materials don't have CAS numbers, expiration intervals, MSDS documents, etc. An important difference between waste materials and other material types is that waste materials do not have a state of matter setting. The state of matter for waste is set on each container. |
