Workflows > Waste Manager Module > Waste Containers

Tracking of waste, including dispensing and disposal, is performed at the container level. Container-based workflows include creating waste containers, adding waste material to containers, and disposing of waste container contents.

Waste material can be added to containers either from the waste container page, or via the container dispense process. Waste material can be disposed either by emptying and resetting a container, or disposing of a container and its contents.

A manifest is maintained for every waste container, and all add waste and dispense waste transactions are recorded in a container's manifest.
